| Overview | The degree equips students with creative, critical and analytical skills ideal for lifelong learning. The degree offers flexibility in career options and can provide a solid foundation for further studies. This is a flexible degree in which you can incorporate multiple majors. Graduating students have the two majors or combined major within the degree appear on their testamur; e.g. Bachelor of Arts (Psychology, Sociology) or Bachelor of Arts (Political and International Studies). |

| Course Rules | Credit Point RequirementsTo qualify for the award a candidate shall complete a total of 144 credit points with no more than 60 credit points at 100-level; at least 36 credit points at 300-level or above; and with at least 108 credit points from units listed in the Approved Majors. To view complete Program of Study click here Exit PathwaysCandidates who wish to discontinue their studies in the course may be eligible to exit with the Advanced Diploma in Arts on completion of 72 credit points, including 36 credit points at 200/300-level. Articulation ProgramStage and Screen Acting This program is articulated with the Advanced Diploma in Stage and Screen Acting of the Actors College of Theatre and Television where candidates have also successfully completed the Diploma of Performance Practice offered at that institution. Candidates will complete 48 credit points, including at least 36 credit points at 300 level, from the following list: COMM180, 315, 321, 323, 325, 383, 385, 386; EUCL 325, 326; THEA110, 111, 301, 302, 307, 317, 321, 330, 333; WORK300. |

| Career Opportunities | Depending on majors, examples include positions in public and private sectors, such as management and administration, heritage and archival, policy and public relations, diplomacy and foreign affairs, translation, education, business, health, film and theatre, public relations, media, tourism, editing and publishing, and roles such as human resource officers, social researchers, town planners, welfare officers, administrative managers, park rangers, archaeologists, curators, psychologists and sociologists. | Double Degree Opportunities | Combined programs are also offered, for example, Arts/Teaching, Arts/Science and Arts/Business and Double Degree in Arts/Laws. Graduates with appropriate major studies may also qualify as secondary teachers by completing a Graduate Diploma in Education. |

| Honours | Candidates who have successfully completed the Bachelor of Arts may, on the recommendation of the head of school concerned, continue to an honours year. The honours program shall include advanced coursework and a dissertation. |
