Note:
*It is possible to undertake 12 or 24 credit points of curriculum methods in Visual Arts, English, Mathematics, Music and Science. The asterisk indicates the units that must be studied when undertaking 12 credit points in these teaching areas. Students undertaking 24 credit points must complete all four units in the suite.

Candidates undertake ONE of four Elective Pathways:
1. 12 credit points from Group 2 and 12 credit points from Group 4 and PREX904; or
2. 12 credit points from Group 2 and 12 credit points from discipline units (available in a postgraduate course) as required for a teaching area and PREX904; or
3. 24 credit points from Group 2 and PREX904; or
4. Candidates undertake 6 credit points from each of Groups 4A, 4B and 4C and an additional 12 credit points from any Group.

Candidates who choose Pathway 3 must complete a placement for each curriculum area.
Candidates who choose Pathways 1, 2 or 3 can complete the 20 days of professional experience required for each curriculum area in their Group 1 Teaching Units and complete a Group 4 Listed Elective Unit in lieu.
Discipline units completed in Pathway 2 must be available for study in a postgraduate course.
