Master of Professional Accounting and Business
Why study the Master of Professional Accounting and Business at UNE?
This award is a conversion course that will enable students to gain professional qualifications in accounting. It is of particular relevance to non-graduates who are required by the Professional Accounting organisations to complete 16 Unit Masters Program. Such applicants may gain entry via completion of the Graduate Certificate in Accounting with a grade point average of five. The course covers introductory as well as advanced units in financial and management accounting, finance, tax and company law and auditing. It also covers four general business subjects. On successful completion graduates can apply for Associate Membership of the Professional Accounting Organisations. The course is accredited by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia, CPA Australia and the Institute of Public Accountants.
Career Opportunities
The MPA and Business is designed as a graduate conversion course for students seeking to switch careers to accounting. Graduates are eligible for associate membership of the professional accounting bodies. Once they have completed the professional studies required by those accounting organisations they will qualify for full membership.
