Why study the Master of Business at UNE?

This award contains eight compulsory units that will enable students without an undergraduate business degree to gain an enhanced understanding of the necessary administrative and management functions required in business management. The course covers introductory units in accounting, economics and law as well as general business units in management processes, marketing and organisational behaviour.

A candidate shall hold a three year degree or qualification of equivalent standing from a university or tertiary institution.

International students must meet the University's English language requirements.

Advanced Standing

Advanced standing is available for other postgraduate study that has a reasonable correspondence with units prescribed for this degree.

The maximum advanced standing that can be granted for units that have been successfully completed towards a postgraduate qualification at this or another university or institution is 50% of a program.

Period of Candidature

The period of candidature shall be one year as a full-time candidate.

Course Requirements

To qualify for the award a candidate must pass units to the value of 48 credit points.

Candidates shall complete an approved program of study as outlined in the Course Schedule comprising:

Award of Degree

Candidates who meet the course requirements shall be awarded the Master of Business.

Exit Pathways

Candidates who discontinue their studies in the course may be eligible to exit with the Graduate Certificate in Accounting on completion of GSB 701, 728, 741 and 748.
