Admission to Candidature
A candidate shall:
(a) hold a degree of a University in a field other than health management and have relevant professional experience in a health related area approved by the school; or
(b) have professional standing and successful professional practice relevant to the award.
Period of Candidature
The period of candidature shall be:
(a) 0.5 year as a full-time candidate;
(b) up to two years as a part-time candidate.
Course Requirements
1.(a) To qualify for the award of Graduate Certificate in Health Management, a candidate must pass units to the value of 24 credit points as specified in Rule 1.(b).
(b) The course shall comprise 24 credit points from Group 3.
2.(a) To qualify for the award of Graduate Certificate in Health Management (Aged Care), a candidate must pass units to the value of 24 credit points as specified in Rule 2.(b).
(b) The course shall comprise:
(i) all units in Group 1;
(ii) 12 credit points from Group 3.
3.(a) To qualify for the award of Graduate Certificate in Health Management (Quality Management), a candidate must pass units to the value of 24 credit points as specified in Rule 3.(b).
(b) The course shall comprise:
(i) all units in Group 2;
(ii) 12 credit points from Group 3.

Candidates shall complete an approved program of study as outlined in the Course Schedule comprising:

Award of Degree
Candidates who meet the course requirements of Rule 1 shall be awarded the Graduate Certificate in Health Management.
Candidates who meet the course requirements of Rule 2 shall be awarded the Graduate Certificate in Health Management (Aged Care).
Candidates who meet the course requirements of Rule 3 shall be awarded the Graduate Certificate in Health Management (Quality Management).

Candidates are referred to the University's General Rules Policy on Academic Progress.
