The course is geared toward mid-managers who are preparing themselves to be leaders of tomorrow whether in government, church, military, statutory, non-profit or commercial organisations. This course recognises your professional background by giving you full credit for your previous studies, training and work experience and helping you take the step into tertiary education. The UNE Bachelor of Organisational Leadership brings together a highly structured, well-rounded program that concentrates on managerial issues ranging from quality assurance to organisational change, ethics and strategic planning. It also includes an advanced academic skills unit that helps students refine their writing and information literacy skills for tertiary study, as well as leadership units that are specially tailored to focus on social issues in a globalised world, resource management and organisational leadership and performance. The course is geared toward mid-managers who are preparing themselves to be leaders of tomorrow.

| Entry Requirements | A candidate shall have had appropriate administrative experience*and (a) hold a two year qualification or the equivalent of two years full-time study approved by the school. * Candidates will have at least three years' experience involving administrative responsibilities relevant to the award. The admission guidelines for entry are: one year of full-time study or equivalent at a recognised institution = 1 year; two years of full-time study or equivalent at a recognised institution = 2 years; Certificate IV (AQF 4) = 0.5 year; Diploma (AQF 5) eg Frontline Management = 1 year; relevant professional development activities (applicant is required to provide a portfolio of evidence and a summary of face-to-face and other hours) - 600 hours = 0.5 year; 1200 hours = 1 year; 2400 hours = 2 years |

Admission to Candidature
A candidate shall have had appropriate administrative experience*; and
hold a two year qualification or the equivalent of two years full-time study approved by the school.
* Candidates will have at least three years' experience involving administrative responsibilities relevant to the award.
Advanced Standing
Candidates who have at least three years' relevant experience and hold a relevant two year qualification shall be granted block advanced standing for 96 credit points and are required to complete 48 credit points as outlined in the program of study.
Period of Candidature
The period of candidature shall be:
(a) one year as a full-time candidate;
(b) up to four years as a part-time candidate.
Course Requirements
To qualify for the award a candidate must pass units to the value of 48 credit points.

Award of Degree
