Unit Description

The unit will introduce students to a range of films from around the world. Films will be viewed as expressions of a given culture. All films will be in English or have English subtitles.

  1. critically discuss a range of films from around the world;
  2. critically discuss films within their social contexts; and
  3. critically analyse film-making techniques and composition.
