Level 9 Master

B1. ADMISSION
In compliance with Rule 1(b) applicants are required to have:

  1. a minimum of three years of full-time study in business or equivalent with a level of Credit or a Grade Point Average of 5 (GPA 5); and
  2. other evidence to show to the satisfaction of the Committee or its Delegated Authority that he/she is adequately prepared for candidature.

B2. COURSE REQUIREMENTS
B.2.1. On the approval of the supervisor, a student must complete units to the value of at least 72 credit points comprising:

  1. course work to the value of 24 credit points; and
  2. a major dissertation to the value of 48 credit points.

B.2.2. A student must achieve a Credit average in the units approved for the course.
B.2.3. Except with the permission of the course coordinator and approval of the supervisor, a student must complete the units:

  1. GSB 656, 658; NEBS 592; and
  2. 12 credit points from GSB 600, 702, 711, 714, 717, 721, 722, 726, 728, 731, 732, 734, 736, 737, 738, 739, 740, 741, 747, 751.

B2.4. In special circumstances, and with the approval of the supervisor, a student may substitute other units where it has been deemed that the student has completed an equivalent unit in a previous award.

B3. ADVANCED STANDING
At the discretion of the supervisor and on recommendation to the Delegated Authority, a student may be granted up to 12 credit points of advanced standing only for course work units passed prior to admission, provided they have reasonable correspondence with University units prescribed for the degree.
