Suggested Full-Time Course Plan
The following are suggested patterns of enrolment or pathways for candidates studying on a full-time or part-time basis. They take into account unit pre-requsite, co-requisite and timetabling requirements. Candidates can each year choose to study less units than the full-time pattern or more units than the part-time pattern, but if doing so should use these suggested patterns as guides as to how best structure their studies.
For candidates studying Full Time = 48 cps per year. 12-15 Hours of study per week should be allocated for each 6 cp unit enrolment.

| Notes: Some students may be required to complete one, two or three additional professional experience placements (PREX910, PREX911, PREX913) in accordance with registration requirements outside of New South Wales. The majority of students will not be required to complete these listed units. EDEC310 is the first unit you must undertake in the Bachelor of Teaching (Early Childhood Education). It is strongly recommended that in your first trimester, you only take ONE unit. Experience has shown us that both coming back to study after a break and the first trimester of study at university level, create a big learning curve for most students. Once you have successfully completed EDEC310, you often will be able to successfully study multiple units in the one trimester. |
