Master of Arts Management

Why study the Master of Arts Management at UNE?

Arts management is one of the fastest growing areas in the arts, performing arts education, Indigenous arts sector, non-profit sector, tourism and local government. UNE's Master of Arts Management is a postgraduate course for those who work in arts management or related fields. The course develops essential knowledge and skills for arts managers in law, accounting and finance, management, and professional arts practice. By offering students a wide range of elective units, the course also enables students to consolidate or develop their own professional specialisations, interests and aspirations, including in management and leadership as well as in media, music, writing, drama and many other fields. Students may undertake workplace-based projects and research projects within the course.

The Master of Arts Management has been designed to meet the needs of those who must accommodate study around other demands on their time: it is offered in off-campus mode and it may be completed in one year (full-time) or up to four years (part-time). It also enables students to 'even out' their study load and complete units over summer.
