Upon completion of this unit, students will be able to:

describe the diversity of Australian theatre styles and concerns, and their relationship to mainstream and non-mainstream societies;

identify and practice a range of mainstream and marginal performance techniques and strategies;

discuss the influence of minority theatre practice on Australian society; especially by black, migrant, women, gay and lesbian theatre practitioners.
