Unit Description

This unit is designed to provide candidates with the background knowledge to pursue higher level studies, including a component on research methodology. Each candidate will design a program in consultation with the head of the relevant school and his/her supervisor(s). The unit may comprise directed reading and the submission of reports/assignments and/or course work and/or completion of a minor research program. Assessment methods will be dependent on the candidate's agreed program of study but can include submission of assignments/reports, written examinations, presentation of seminars, attendance at workshops.
