Unit Description

The unit examines the methods practised by Studies in Religion, in relation to the broad range of religious phenomena and in relation to the specific thesis topic chosen for the dissertation. The First Semester component involves an in-depth coverage of the methodology of Studies in Religion, with particular emphasis on research practices at honours level. The Second Semester component builds upon the theoretical work in Semester One, using a series of case studies, with an emphasis on the practical application of methods in problem-solving. One case study will be used as direct entry into the honours dissertation.
