Unit Description

The unit deals with the design and execution of surveys and focuses on the analysis of survey data used in business and economics. Topics include: basic sampling concepts; various sample designs including simple random sampling, stratified, cluster and other sampling designs, questionnaire design; determination of sample size; and analysis of sampling data including categorical data. Computer programs will be used in the analysis of data. Students are expected to complete a project applying various sampling techniques to a practical problem.
