Upon completion of this unit, students will be able to:
-
develop the capacity to analyse organisation behaviour from a problem-solving perspective;

develop the capacity to think strategically about an organisation: its present business position, its long-term direction, its resources and competitive capabilities, the calibre of its strategy and its opportunities for gaining sustainable competitive advantage;

have hands-on experience in crafting strategy, evaluating carefully strategic options, and making informed strategic decisions;

acquaint themselves with the managerial tasks associated with implementing and executing organisational strategies. Drilling them in the range of actions managers can take to promote competent strategy execution, and giving them confidence in being able to function effectively as part of an organisation's strategy-making processes;
