Unit Description

This unit is designed to allow students to pursue supervised individual research interests or to undertake an agreed program of study. Students must consult with the School of Humanities or School of Arts, and secure the permission of head of school or nominee, prior to enrolment.

As such, the unit does not focus on a finite body of knowledge. Rather it encourages open enquiry, ongoing debate and a desire to seek out more and question further. These are independent learning skills which can be applied to other learning situations throughout life.
