Unit Description

Provides an overview of the theory and practice of leadership and deals with the practical implementation of leadership knowledge within the workplace. Topics include: an overview of leadership; the evolution of the leadership discipline; traits and characteristics of leaders; leadership, power and influence; leadership theories and models; gender and equity issues in leadership practice; cultural issues and leadership; developing teams; organisational coaching and mentoring; leading organisational change; organisational leadership development; strategic leadership.
