Unit Description

This unit requires a dissertation of approximately 15 000 words on a topic in German, where supervision and library resources are available. Students should consult their supervisor on suitable topic areas before commencing the unit. The dissertation may be written in English or in German.

  3. demonstrate a broad knowledge and understanding of German language, literature, culture and society;
  4. demonstrate advanced competence in German language, including semantic analysis and translation skills.
