Unit Description

This unit caters for those who wish to develop skills relevant to teaching drama in secondary schools or in community arts contexts. It will explore the creation of character and action within a range of dramatic forms and performance styles such as mime, movement, mask, and improvisation. An emphasis will be placed on building confidence in these aspects of drama by learning and applying specific techniques. The unit will take students through an exploration of their own creative process and related pedagogical issues.
