Unit Description

A unit in macroeconomic theory and policy at intermediate level. Inflation and unemployment outcomes in the macroeconomy are initially examined within an aggregate demand/aggregate supply framework. Further topics include: theories of consumption and investment; the supply and demand for money; IS/LM analysis; fiscal and monetary policy; IS/LM/BP analysis and problems of stabilisation in an open economy.
