Unit Description

The unit consists of the supervised preparation of a research dissertation of 15 000 words on a topic within European and Asian cultures studies mutually acceptable to the school and the student.

Learning Outcomes (LO) Upon completion of this unit, students will be able to:
  1. formulate questions pertaining to a specific topic within European and Asian cultures studies;
  2. use higher order, independent research skills;
  3. synthesise and analyse a broad range of research materials;
  4. write up an extended research project, based upon independent research;
  5. critically discuss methodological issues and the overall subject area relating to the reading course undertaken as part of EACL401H.
