| Notes | Students attend a mandatory 4 day intensive school held at the Australian Cotton Research Institute (ACRI) 20 km west of Narrabri. There are several essential exercises and assessment tasks at the intensive school but no supervised exam. |

| Unit Description |
This unit brings together the many aspects in COTT300, COTT301 and COTT302. Emphasis is given to topics beyond the farm gate and understanding the business environment that irrigated cotton production operates in. This includes technical aspects of the cotton fibre for spinning and garment manufacture, economic benchmarking of cotton farms and an on-farm consultancy. Business, consultancy and communications are major components of the intensive school. |
