Unit Description

This unit is designed to build on the foundations of Modern Standard Chinese established in CHIN101 and CHIN102. Speaking, listening, reading and writing skills are further developed, as are students' skills and strategies as a language learner. A situational approach is employed to develop functional fluency in a variety of contexts, and attention is paid to the socio-cultural aspects of language use.
