Teacher Education Enabling Course

Why study the Teacher Education Enabling Course at UNE?

IMPORTANT: Applicants who need to satisfy normal admission requirements should apply for the UNE Pathways Enabling Course. Both ENGL001 and MATH122 are offered in the UNE Pathways Enabling Course. The Teacher Education Enabling Course DOES NOT satisfy normal admission requirements for any UNE course, nor is Advanced Standing granted from it towards any teacher education course.

The Teacher Education Enabling Course will provide students who have entered or who intend to enter undergraduate teaching degrees the opportunity to complete a Mathematics and/or English unit that will align to the Band 4 Higher School Certificate subject descriptors. This level of attainment is required by the New South Wales Institute of Teachers (NSWIT) if intending to seek teacher registration in New South Wales.
