Why study the Master of Educational Administration at UNE?

The course is designed primarily for educational leaders and aspiring managers. As people progress through their careers and increasingly take on leadership and management roles they often find that they need to develop theoretical and practical knowledge of leadership together with the management skills to lead and manage effectively. This course is designed to develop both general management and education sector specific skills.

These Course Rules & Plans are ONLY to be used if you Commenced, Transferred or Changed Versions in the Master of Educational Administration in 2010.

1. Admission to Candidature
A candidate must have had three years' experience in an educational institution or in education services delivery; and
(a) hold a degree or a three year diploma of a university; or
(d) satisfy the school by means of other qualifications and relevant experience of adequate preparation for candidature.

2. Course Requirements
(a) To qualify for the award a candidate must pass 48 credit points.
(b) A candidate must complete: GSB 671, 672, 673, 674, 721 plus 18 credit points from the following: GSB 600, 656, 702, 714, 734, 738, 739, 745, 751, 752, 753, 781, 791, 792.

3. Period of Candidature
The maximum period shall be:
(a) one year as a full-time candidate;
(b) four years as a part-time candidate.

4. Advanced Standing
A maximum of 24 credit points advanced standing may be granted.

5. Improper Conduct
Candidates are referred to the University Policy on Plagiarism and Academic Misconduct.
