Overview

This award contains eight compulsory units that will enable students without an undergraduate business degree to gain an enhanced understanding of the necessary administrative and management functions required in business management. The course covers introductory units in accounting, economics and law as well as general business units in management processes, marketing and organisational behaviour.

Entry Requirements

For admission to candidature applicants shall hold a three year degree or qualification of equivalent standing from a university or tertiary institution.

Applicants must satisfy UNE English language proficiency requirements as set out in the "Policy on English Language Requirements for Admission".

Advanced Standing

Maximum advanced standing is 24 credit points

1.Admission to Candidature
(a) Applicants shall hold a three year degree or qualification of equivalent standing from a university or tertiary institution.
(b) Applicants must satisfy UNE English language proficiency requirements as set out in the 'Policy on English Language Requirements for Admission'.

2. Period of Candidature
The maximum period of candidature shall be
(a) 1 year as a full-time candidate;
(b) 4 years as a part-time candidate.

3. Credit Point Requirements
To qualify for the award a candidate shall complete a total of 48 credit points.

4. Advanced Standing
Maximum advanced standing is 24 credit points.

5. Program of Study
Candidates shall complete an approved program of study as outlined in the Program of Study.

6. Exit Pathways
Graduate Certificate in Accounting for students who pass GSB 701, 728, 741, 748.
