Why study the Master of Administrative Leadership at UNE?

No longer offered, replaced with Master of Leadership. Currently enrolled students must complete this course by 31 December 2013.

The course is designed primarily for public sector managers and aspiring managers. As people progress through their careers and increasingly take on leadership and management roles they often find that they need to develop theoretical and practical knowledge of leadership together with the management skills to lead and manage effectively.

Entry Requirements

A candidate must have had three years' relevant experience involving administrative responsibilities, and:

(a) hold a degree of a university; or

(b) hold a three-year diploma from a university or a college of advanced education; or

(c) hold a graduate diploma relevant to the degree; or

(d) satisfy the School by means of other qualifications and relevant experience of adequate preparation for candidature.

These Course Rules & Plans are ONLY to be used if you Commenced, Transferred or Changed Versions in the Master of Administrative Leadership in 2010.

1. Admission to Candidature
A candidate must have had three years' relevant experience involving administrative responsibilities; and
(a) hold a degree of a university; or
(b) hold a three-year diploma from a university or a college of advanced education; or
(c) hold a graduate diploma relevant to the award; or
(d) satisfy the school by means of other qualifications and relevant experience of adequate preparation for candidature.

2. Course Requirements
(a) To qualify for the award a candidate must pass 48 credit points.
(b) A candidate must complete: GSB 600, 671, 721, 734, 745 plus 18 credit points from the following: GSB 652, 653, 656, 657, 680, 702, 714, 722, 738, 739, 751, 752, 753, 781, 791, 792.

3. Period of Candidature
The maximum period shall be:
(a) one year as a full-time candidate;
(b) four years as a part-time candidate.

4. Advanced Standing
A maximum of 24 credit points advanced standing may be granted.

5. Improper Conduct
Candidates are referred to the University Policy on Plagiarism and Academic Misconduct.
