| Entry Requirements | Normal admission requirements apply. Assumed knowledge is English, Mathematics and recommended study is Geography, Economics, Biology and/or Chemistry and/or Physics. The Faculty offers Foundation Studies in Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics for students who do not have the recommended background knowledge. |

| Honours | Graduates may be awarded Honours in either the BNatRes or the BUrbRegPlan or both. The Honours level is based on grades achieved in the second, third, fourth and fifth years of the program including an Honours project which is completed in the final year. BNatRes(Hons) and BUrbRegPlan(Hons) graduates who achieve the appropriate level of Honours are eligible to apply to enrol for a research Master degree or the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD). |

To qualify for the award a candidate shall complete a total of 240 credit points.
Program of Study
Candidates shall complete an approved program of study as outlined in the Course Schedule comprising:

Exit Pathways
Candidates who discontinue their studies in the course may be eligible to exit with the Diploma in The Sciences on completion of 48 credit points or the Advanced Diploma in The Sciences on completion of 72 credit points.
Award of Honours
1. Students may be awarded the degree of Bachelor of Natural Resources with Honours on the basis of an academic record deemed by the school to be of sufficient merit. To qualify for award of the degree with Honours students must:
(a) have achieved a satisfactory level of performance, as determined by the school, in the fourth year of candidature; and
(b) have completed the unit NR490.
(c) There will be two levels of Honours: First Class Honours and Second Class Honours. Second Class Honours will have two divisions: Division 1 and Division 2.
(d) An exceptionally distinguished student who has been awarded First Class Honours may be awarded a University Medal.
2. Students may be awarded the degree of Bachelor of Urban and Regional Planning with Honours on the basis of an academic record deemed by the school to be of sufficient merit. To qualify for award of the degree with Honours students must:
(a) have achieved a satisfactory level of performance, as determined by the school, in the second, third and fourth years of candidature; and
(b) have completed the unit GEPL455.
(c) There will be two levels of Honours: First Class Honours and Second Class Honours. Second Class Honours will have two divisions: Division 1 and Division 2.
(d) An exceptionally distinguished student who has been awarded First Class Honours may be awarded a University Medal.
Period of Candidature
The maximum period of candidature shall be:
(a) 8 years as a full-time candidate;
(b) 12 years as a part-time candidate.
