Summer Semester provides an opportunity for students to fast-track their academic progression or to catch up on units required to complete the degree. A selection of units is offered off-campus during the normal semester break from November to February, enabling students to study from home and to accelerate their progress towards graduation.

Entry Requirements

Normal admission requirements apply. Assumed knowledge is two units in English plus Mathematics.

when assessing eligibility for admission.

Practical, Clinical or Work Experience

Students may complete the Work Ready unit as an elective unit.

Advanced Standing

Students may apply for advanced standing towards the degree on the basis of previous tertiary study.

Fast Track

Summer Semester is available for selected units (Commonwealth Supported Places available)

These Course Rules & Plans are ONLY to be used if you Commenced, Transferred or Changed Versions in the Bachelor of Business/Bachelor of Economics in 2010.

To qualify for the award a candidate shall complete a total of 192 credit points with not more than 84 credit points at 100-level and at least 48 credit points at 300-level.

Candidates shall complete an approved program of study as outlined in the Course Schedule comprising:

If units are taken that are common to both Majors then the candidate must complete additional units drawn from the Listed Units of either Major in order to complete the 36 credit points for the Major.

The following are restricted combinations of Majors. Candidates can only include ONE of the Majors in their program of study.

Exit Pathways

Candidates who discontinue their studies in the course may be eligible to exit with the Diploma of Commerce on completion of 48 credit points, or may transfer from the Combined Degree Program to either the Bachelor of Business or Bachelor of Economics.
