Unit Description

Physiological adaptations of animals to their environment will be covered. The emphasis is on Australian vertebrates. Topics include energetics and thermoregulation of ectotherms and endotherms, the energetics of locomotion, reproductive biology, reproductive behaviour and reproductive endocrinology. Practical work will be both laboratory- and field-based.
