| Unit Description |
This unit is an in-depth study of an appropriate topic within Theatre Studies. It consists of four components: (1) a general preliminary dramaturgical research project providing an overview of the topic; (2) a proposal for a practical theatre production designed to explore an aspect of the topic through performance; (3) rehearsals and performances of the production (n.b. this can be done in theory only); and (4) a theoretical analysis of the performance in the light of a range of interpretive strategies.
