Unit Description

This unit covers the major areas of English grammar, including word classes, word structure, sentence structure, and discourse structure, with a particular focus on Australian English. It looks at how English is varied regionally and socially; at its development from Old English, through Middle English, to its current forms; and at its emergence as a truly global language. Web access is required.
