Unit Description

The unit explores some current and controversial issues in human nutrition. Topics include the evidence-based approach, diet and health (including macro- and micro-nutrients, heart disease, cancer and obesity), dietary assessment and a choice of optional topics. The unit is equivalent to 39 lectures. Assessment is 50% from assignments, and 50% from one examination.
