Unit Description

This unit presents students with the theoretical frameworks and practical skills for group work. Included are areas that cover assessing the need for a group, understanding group formation, development and processes and closure. The second part of the unit examines the role of community development in relation to social work practice, with a focus on the current socio-economic climate.
