| Unit Description |
This unit uses a problem based learning model to present students with real life scenarios that will be examined both critically and practically in light of the various psychological, sociological, political and policy frameworks. Students' understanding of the biopsychosocial needs and challenges of marginalised and/or disadvantaged groups within the broader community will be developed. Particular attention is paid to the impact of lack of adequate social and health services and how this is portrayed in the mainstream media.
