Unit Description

This unit introduces social work students to the role of the social worker through the use of case studies with a particular focus on the needs of, and issues affecting, rural communities. This unit also prepares students with the necessary academic skills for a professional degree in social work. Students will be presented with the Australian Association of Social Workers Code of Ethics as the foundation framework in which they interpret ethical practice throughout their education and future professional practice.
