| Unit Description |
This unit continues to provide a foundation in human biology. Students will continue to develop a basic knowledge and understanding of cells, tissues, and organ systems. This knowledge and understanding will be applied to the structures and functions of the nervous, sensory nervous, endocrine and reproductive systems. Students will be introduced to human genetics, issues of human growth, ageing, human evolution, and environmental influences on human biology. Basic anatomy and physiology will be covered, with a focus on human physiological activities in a social and psychological context. Concepts introduced in HBIO110 will be developed for a comprehensive understanding of human biology. |
