Unit Description

This is a reading unit designed to prepare students to undertake action learning based project work. Students will progress through a series of specified readings on the principles underlying action learning, The practical application of action learning guidelines is fundamental to this unit's pedagogical philosophy. Topics include: understanding the principals of action learning and action research; action learning tools (learning logs, critical incident analysis, set group facilitation); planning an action learning project; the dynamics of organisation context and complexity.
