Unit Description

The unit deals with the general and strategic tasks of management at the international level. In terms of strategic management, this unit focuses on issues relating to the allocation of the firm's activities and resources across borders, the implications for strategy formulation of a complex and often uncertain environment, and the influence of culture on strategic options. In terms of general management, emphasis is placed on the impact of cultural factors on human resource management policies and the control of the organisation.
