Unit Description

GEOL202 teaches students the fundamental principles of palaentology and introduces them to the history of life on Earth. Readings cover topics such as the origin of life, evolution, extinction and palaeoecology. Practical exercises during the residential school focus on invertebrate fossils, comparative palaeoecology and interpretation of fossil trackways.
