Unit Description

A study of the operation of labour markets and the issues which arise therefrom - supply and demand for labour, education and training, job search and so on. Also a study of attempts by workers and employers (unions and employers' associations) to influence labour market outcomes in their own interests, and problems which arise in labour market regulation. The unit comprises up to 26 lecture hours and 12 workshop hours.
