Unit Description

The dissertation unit is intended to give students the opportunity to carry out individual research into an area of relevance to archaeology or heritage studies. It is expected, therefore, that students will have successfully completed 24 credit points of their award before undertaking the dissertation, which counts as 12 credit points. Each student will be individually supervised by a member of staff from Archaeology and Palaeoanthropology. The dissertation will consist of a 12 000-word paper which will be examined internally.
