| Overview | This award is a conversion course that will enable students to gain professional qualifications in accounting. The course is open to graduates but non graduates may enter following successful completion of the Graduate Certificate in Accounting with a grade point average of five. The course covers introductory as well as advanced units in financial and management accounting, finance, tax and company law and auditing. On successful completion graduates can apply for Associate Membership of the Professional Accounting Organisations. The course is accredited by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia, CPA Australia and the National Institute of Accountants. |

| Entry Requirements | Applicants for admission to candidature for the degree of Master of Professional Accounting shall: (a) have fulfilled all the requirements for admission to a degree or recognised qualification of equivalent standing at this or another university or tertiary institution; or (b) have completed the Graduate Certificate in Accounting or any relevant graduate certificate as approved by the Course Coordinator with a minimum grade point average of five; or (c) have completed the Graduate Diploma in Accounting or any graduate diploma as approved by the Course Coordinator. |

| Career Opportunities | Students who complete this award will be eligible for Associate membership of CPA Australia, the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia (ICAA) or the National Institute of Accountants (NIA). They can then pursue full professional status with the organisation of their choice. |
