| Overview | The Graduate Certificate provides graduates with fundamental knowledge about human resource management (HRM). It has been designed to meet the needs of those people wanting to become successful HR professionals, as well as those who are responsible for managing people and who are concerned with designing, implementing and maintaining HRM practices within their workplaces. The units making up the Graduate Certificate provide students with the opportunity to apply current theory relevant to HRM to their workplace through assessment activities. The graduate certificate articulates with the MBA and the Master of Organisational Development and Strategic Human Resource Management. |

1. Director
In the rules in this Chapter, 'the Director' shall mean 'the Director of the Graduate School of Business'.
2. Admission to Candidature
2.1. This course is available on a fee-paying basis only.
2.2. Applicants for admission to candidature for the Graduate Certificate in Human Resource Management shall:
(a) have fulfilled all the requirements for admission to a three-year degree or an equivalent qualification acceptable to the school as sufficient qualification for admission to candidature; or
(b) satisfy the school by means of other qualifications and relevant experience of adequate preparation for candidature.
2.3. In addition, applicants for admission to candidature must provide evidence of at least three years' work experience in a field of employment approved by the school on the recommendation of the Director.
2.4. An applicant for candidature shall apply to the Director on the prescribed form.
2.5. Admission to candidature and the date of commencement of candidature shall be determined by the school.
3. Approval of Course of Study
After admission to candidature, a candidate shall have a course of study approved by the school on the recommendation of the Director.
