Advanced Diploma in Agriculture
1. Admission to Candidature
An applicant for the Advanced Diploma shall:
(a) hold a diploma of the school, or an equivalent qualification; or
(b) have satisfied the faculty by means of qualifications and/or related experience, that the equivalent standard of Rule 1.(a) has been achieved.
2. Program of Study
2.1. To fulfil the requirements for the Advanced Diploma a student shall complete a program of study comprising units from one of the course work programs listed in Rule 3. and approved by the course coordinator.
2.2. The study program shall comprise:
(a) units counting 72 credit points of which no more than 24 credit points shall be at 100 level; and
(b) at least eight weeks of approved practical experience under such conditions as shall be prescribed by the faculty.
2.3. In special circumstances, and with the approval of the course coordinator, others units available from subjects offered within the University may be substituted for one or more of the units approved for the program.

4. Period of Candidature
The requirements for the diploma shall be completed over a period of not less than three consecutive semesters of full-time study or 10 consecutive semesters of part-time study.
5. Advanced Standing
Advanced standing will be granted for units which are deemed to be equivalent to units offered by the University and approved for the course as follows:
a) a maximum of 18 credit points for units completed at another institution which have not been counted towards another qualification; or
b) no limit will apply to advanced standing which is granted for units counted towards an undergraduate certificate or diploma course offered by the University; or
c) no limit will apply to advances standing which is granted for units completed at the University and which have not been counted towards another qualification.
