Unit Description

Entomology introduces students to the systematics, morphology, general biology, physiology and development of insects. Using scenario-based learning, students will become actively involved in examining the fundamental roles that insects play in the natural, agricultural, urban and domestic environments. Assessment is by scenario-based learning activities (including biodiversity, forensic entomology, and biocontrol/quarantine), an insect collection and a scientific report.
