Unit Description

Students will consider 'what is public performance?' and 'what is live theatre?', participating in acting and presentation exercises and research projects. The unit also examines the contribution of the performer to the performance event. It focuses on a range of representation and presentation techniques. Attention is given to performance skills (voice, movement, gesture and to interpretation of text) in the context of public speaking.
