| Unit Description |
This is a foundation unit in statistics. Students will learn how to collect, organise, graph, and analyse data. Topics include exploratory data analysis, randomness associated with experiment data, statistical modelling, sampling, probability, regression, analysis of variance, and tests of significance. Statistical computing forms an integral part of the unit. Students will be required to use web material for assignments. The R statistical software will be supplied. |
