| Unit Description |
Sustainable living is managing the land to enhance the environment outcomes while maintaining the economic profitability and social wellbeing of communities. This unit will investigate the biophysical, economic and social components of land management systems and the key issues affecting each, across a range of scales from the individual land holder or manager to the catchment or region, and finally to national and global level. Several detailed case studies, focusing on different industries and contexts in Australia, will provide applied knowledge and understanding of key sustainability issues and current on-ground best-management practices and strategies. |
