| Unit Description |
This unit introduces students to the Local Government Act 1993 (NSW) and the Environment Planning and Assessment Act 1979 (NSW). Each Chapter of the Local Government Act is dealt with, with particular emphasis being given to a number of broad local government topics: accountability, pecuniary interest, liability, orders, meetings, and injunctions. In respect of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 (NSW) the following topics are covered: planning instruments, context of planning instruments, existing use rights development consent. |
